Anderson, Dale run past Holdenville

“It was a good game for us,” Dale coach Jeff Edmonson said. “We got off to a really good start. It makes things a lot easier when the ball goes in the hole.”
Dustin Stark added 15 points and six boards for the Pirates, who improved to 5-1 on the season. Caleb Banks had 10 points and six rebounds. Anderson also had five boards.
Dale made the most of a hot start in each half, outscoring the home team 24-19 in the first quarter and 30-13 in the third.
Two Wolverines scored in double figures.
In the girls’ opener, Dale led 24-12 at the half en route to a 46-32 win over Holdenville.
Senior Breck Clark surpassed the 1,000-point career scoring mark with 25 points.
Sam Barry added seven points and four assists for the victors. Lexes Satterwhite claimed five assists while Clark and Danielle Dockrey recorded five rebounds apiece.
Dale, 7-0 on the season, never trailed in the game.
Both teams will take a week off before hosting Bethel next Tuesday.
