  • Chandler’s Lions overcame a 19-9 halftime deficit Saturday to knock off Lincoln County rival Meeker, 38-31, in the seventh-place contest of the Bison Invitational.
Chandler out-scored the Bulldogs 15-6 in the third stanza to cut Meeker’s lead to 25-26, and the decisive blow was the Lions’ 14-6 spurt over the final eight minutes of play.
Josiah Brown was joined by two fellow Lions in double figures. Brown netted a baker’s dozen, and Rodney Lewis and Cody Campbell finished with 10 each.
Kevin Schilling paced Meeker with nine points, including a 7-for-9 showing at the charity stripe in the second quarter. Austin Watlington went 6-for-8 on foul shots, hitting all six of his successes in the first half.
