  • McLoud’s Redskins, after leading 23-20 at halftime, were hit with a 47-41 setback to Perkins-Tryon in Saturday’s consolation finals of the Bison Invitational. Perkins-Tryon used a 17-9 run in the third quarter to turn the tables, and the Demons finished the game on a 10-8 run in the fourth. Cody Waitt led the Demons, and all scorers, with 21 points. Teammate Caleb White went 6-for-6 on free throws in netting eight points. Jacob Magruder led the Redskins with 10 points. Magruder and Michael Byington connected on two shots each from 3-point range. McLoud will have a rematch with Perkins-Tryon Tuesday at McLoud. Note: Report compiled by Jason Smith.
