  • The Earlsboro Lady Wildcats opened up a 20-point halftime lead en route to a 60-47 win over New Lima in Saturday’s Little River Conference Tournament championship game. “We gave a great effort these past three games and played well when we had to,” Earlsboro head coach Gary Anderson said. Three Lady Wildcats made the all-tournament team, including Megan Ashley, who led Earlsboro with 21 points. Fellow all-tourney selection Brittany Coon netted 10. Jordan Lasley, the third of Earlsboro’s triumvirate, sat out the title game with possible ligament damage, according to Anderson. Lasley was injured during Thursday’s game against Varnum. Demi Coon added 18 for the champions, who moved to 11-0 on the season. New Lima’s Jonah Tiger scored 21 and shared game-leader honors with Earlsboro’s Ashley. The Lady Wildcats, ranked ninth in Class B, are set for a rematch with the Lady Falcons at New Lima next Tuesday. Note: Report compiled by Chuck Porter.
