Savages drop Byng to stay undefeated

The Savages of Tecumseh improved to 6-0 Tuesday night with a 55-47 victory over Byng.

Posting double figures for Tecumseh were Alan Brewer with 13 points and Julio Hukill and Darian Permetter with 12 apiece.

Permetter concluded the night with three treys, two of which came in the first quarter as Tecumseh took a 15-9 lead. The Savages, 6-0, led 28-20 at halftime.

Hukill finished as the game’s leading rebounder with 12.

Tecumseh was 9-of-14 from the charity stripe while Byng was 5-of-8.

The Savages will travel to Ada Friday.

In Tuesday night’s opener, Byng’s girls recorded a 54-25 victory over Tecumseh.

Hillary Babbit led Tecumseh with six points.
