Whitney Stotler and Corbin Coker each notched 15 points as Prague earned a third-place finish in the Prague Chamber Czech Holiday Classic with a 52-29 win over Depew Saturday night.
Class 3A’s sixth-ranked Lady Devils fell into the third-place game after a heartbreaking loss to Henryetta Thursday night.
“After losing on a last-second shot, I was wondering how they’d come out,” Prague coach Jay Depanion said. “But they came out intense.”
The tournament hosts jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead and never looked back.
Coker netted three treys in the game. Landrea Hixson added eight points for the hosts, who improved to 5-1 on the season with the win.
“We got something out of the loss [to Henryetta], and that was beneficial — not the loss, but getting something out of it,” Depanion said.
Prague will head to Holdenville for a doubleheader with the Wolverines Tuesday.
