  • Top-ranked Oklahoma Baptist got double-figure scoring from six players and moved to 12-1 on the season with an 88-40 victory over Manhattan Christian in the Noble Complex Saturday.

“We moved the ball very well,” said OBU coach Doug Tolin. “It was a better day on offense, even though we didn’t have a great shooting day. We got to the free throw line and made most of them.”

David Johnson led the Bison with 19 points, followed by Kameron Price with 13, Hayden Darst with 12, Clinton Houston and Cale Jackson with 11 each and Desmond Griffin with 10.

The Bison never trailed and used two 10-0 runs to build a 44-18 halftime lead.

A second half 14-0 OBU run gave the Bison their biggest lead of the game, 82-31, with 6:12 to play.

OBU out-rebounded the Crusaders 54-29, getting 11 boards from Marques Anderson while Houston added 10.

Kendall Parks had seven assists and Price added four steals.

Alex Hammack led MCC with 10 points.

The win was the 30th consecutive home court win for the Bison, dating back to 2011. OBU is 80-2 at home since the 2008-09 season, both losses coming in 2010-11.

Next action for the Bison will be Dec. 29 at No. 18 Evangel in Springfield, Mo.
