Class B’s eighth-ranked Earlsboro Lady Wildcats piled on 27 first-quarter points Friday, and then coasted to a 61-21 win over Moss to improve to 12-1 on the season.
Brittany Coon out-scored Moss alone, putting up a game-high 22 points. Teammate Megan Ashley added 18.
The hosts led 46-7 at halftime.
Maycee Croce led Moss with eight points.
Earlsboro’s boys were not so fortunate, as Moss’ Justin Fitzgerald poured in 28, Cody Robinson added 25 and the Pirates hit Earlsboro with an 83-56 decision Friday night.
Earlsboro led by one as late as the second quarter, but the Pirates’ inside presence proved to be too much to overcome.
Ethan Bateman led the way for the Wildcats with 14 points, while Connor Kelsay added 12 — all on 3-pointers — and Derick McCormick notched 11.
Eric Stargell also scored in double-figures for Earlsboro with 10.
The Wildcats moved to 6-8 on the season and will head to Okarche for a date with the Warriors Tuesday night.
