Despite hitting just 31 of 61 shots from the floor, Tecumseh upped its record to 8-0 Tuesday night with a 69-48 decision over McLoud.
Tecumseh led by just three points at one third-quarter juncture but out-scored the visitors 19-7 over the final eight minutes.
Dakota Davis recorded 14 points for Tecumseh while Julio Hukill and Colton Owen finished with 11 apiece. Alan Brewer notched nine points to go along with eight rebounds and nine assists.
Michael Byington was McLoud’s leading scorer with 15 points, followed by Klayton Adams with 13 and Jacob Magruder with 12.
In the opener, Tecumseh’s girls improved to 3-4 with a 44-16 win over McLoud. Tecumseh led just 21-16 at the half but went on a 13-2 tear in the third quarter for a 34-15 advantage.
Sutv Meely of Tecumseh chalked up nine points, four assists and four steals. Gabby Rice and Hillary Babbit added eight points apiece for the victors while teammate Dominique Bear grabbed seven rebounds.
Erin Estep led McLoud with six points.
Tecumseh will travel to Jones Friday. McLoud’s next games are slated for Friday, Jan. 4, against visiting Prague.
