  • Grayson Hamm poured in 20 points, including a huge fourth-quarter trey, and the Prague Red Devils outlasted Chandler 50-49 in a back-and-forth conference opener Friday night.

Hamm notched four triples in the game, but none bigger than his last one which put Prague up four with just over a minute to play.

Neither team took advantage of the foul situation, with both the Devils and Lions missing crucial free throws down the stretch.

Tyler Ouderkirk notched 13 points for the hosts (5-3), adding nine in the second half. Cody Campbell led the way for Chandler, scoring 13 of his team-high 18 points in the final 16 minutes of play.

Josiah Brown and Rodney Lewis each netted eight for the visitors.

In the first game of the doubleheader, the Class 3A seventh-ranked Prague Lady Devils ran away from the Lady Lions, 60-43.

Whitney Stotler led the Lady Devils (7-1) to a 35-20 halftime advantage. Stotler led all scorers with 20, while teammate Corbin Coker chipped in 15.

“We played a better complete game than we have so far,” Prague coach Jay Depanion said. “We came out and jumped on them early.”

Jasmine Gregg led the visitors with 14 points. Kiyoshi Henderson added a dozen.
