  • Four Savages found their way into double digits in the scoring column as Tecumseh pounced on Jones early and raced to a 72-42 win Friday night.

The Savages led the contest 24-7 after one quarter and 47-20 at the break.

“That first half was the best half of basketball we’ve played all year,” Tecumseh coach Eric Litherland said.

Alan Brewer hit four treys for Class 4A’s No. 9 Tecumseh, which finishes the 2012 part of its season unbeaten at 9-0.

The Savages will host Ada Jan. 8. Tecumseh has already beaten the Cougars twice, including a victory in the Bison Invitational title game, and will look to complete a season sweep at home.

Brewer led all scorers with 18 points. Julio Hukill contributed a dozen, Colton Owen notched 10 and Tanner Pitchford splashed in 11, including two from deep.
