  • Seminole jumped out to a 40-19 halftime advantage and strolled to a 62-46 win over Byng Friday night to start the 2013 part of their schedule.
     
    “We got on them early and really hit them in the mouth,” Chieftains coach Jeremy Bryan said.
     
    Seminole held a 22-11 lead after one quarter.
     
    Xavier Freeman scored 21 to lead all scorers. Jayce Cravens added 17 and Damon Cravens chipped in seven.
     
    The streaking Chieftains (5-2) will host Meeker Tuesday.
