Keep it Dry

One call I recieve a lot is about mold or mildew in closets and cabinets.  Once a home owner sees the effects of moisture, most of the time damage has already occured.  One of the first and best methods for a healthy home is to keep it dry so this common problem doesn't happen to you.

Moisture in the home can lead to biological growth (ex. mold and mildew). It can also damage your furnishings and home!

How do I fix a mold problem?

In this order…

  • Find the source of the moisture and fix it

  • Dry the area out

  • Discard damaged materials

  • Clean what you can

Prevent water from entering your home through leaks in roofing systems, rain water from entering the home due to poor drainage, and check your interior plumbing for any leaking.
