Shawnee police, following an undercover operation, raided a residence Monday night with a search warrant, where they confiscated a small amount of drugs and made three arrests.
Shawnee Police Chief Russell Frantz said groundwork by Officer Jonathan Webb, with assistance from Officer Cody Gibson, led to the search at 826 S. Bell.
Shawnee police were assisted by city marshals and the district attorney’s Drugs and Violent Crimes Task Force.
Frantz, who said narcotics investigations take time to develop, said Webb had been building the case for some time before obtaining the warrant.
Police found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the home, the chief said, and officers also recovered a firearm that had been reported stolen in July.
As a result of the warrant, three people were arrested and a child also was taken into protective custody by DHS, the chief said.
Arrested were Ricardo Campbell, 57, Clinton Weese, 35, and Dawna Raelene Harjo, 32, Frantz said.
All three were arrested on complaints of possession of controlled dangerous substance, possession of stolen property and possession of a firearm after former conviction, the chief said.
Formal charges have not been filed in relation to the arrests, but all three suspects do have prior criminal records, including previous charges in Pottawatomie County.
The home searched was reported to be Campbell’s residence, Frantz said, and it was believed the other two suspects were possible staying there as well.
All three were being booked into the Pottawatomie County Public Safety Center late Monday night.
