Former Hartshorne standout Tyler Capps has signed to play football at Oklahoma Baptist.

Former Hartshorne standout Tyler Capps has signed to play football at Oklahoma Baptist.

Capps, who will be a sophomore at OBU this fall, is a 6-0, 180-pound defensive back, though he was District 2A-6 Offensive MVP as a quarterback for coach Bill E. Williams at Hartshorne High School. He also was a Eufaula All-Star Classic selection.

Capps qualified for state in track and in powerlifting.

The son of Chuck Capps and Andrea Corum, Tyler will major in secondary education.
