Shawnee finished second as a team Saturday in the Carl Albert Tournament, behind Class 5A’s second-ranked Lawton MacArthur.

The Wolves are ranked fourth.

There were 23 teams in the field, with Altus taking third.

Taking runner-up spots individually for the Wolves were Bryce O’Connor (113), Michael Smith (120), Walker Smith (182) and Gage Humphrey (195). Each went 1-1 on the day Saturday after going 2-0 Friday and reaching the semifinals.

Corey Todd, at 145 pounds, and Daylan Stuteville, at 160 pounds, each went 2-1 Saturday and finished third. Thomas Shepard (170) went 1-2 and finished fourth, while Clayton Stafford (138) went 2-1 and finished fifth.

The Wolves will return to action Tuesday at Ada.
