  • Bethel’s Lady Wildcats, Class 4A’s 18th-ranked team, held a 30-25 halftime advantage over Bridge Creek before succumbing to a 53-47 final in the CD Warehouse Classic’s third-place match Saturday.

  • Bethel’s Lady Wildcats, Class 4A’s 18th-ranked team, held a 30-25 halftime advantage over Bridge Creek before succumbing to a 53-47 final in the CD Warehouse Classic’s third-place match Saturday.
     
    Bethel was out-scored 12-7 in the third quarter, and 16-10 in the fourth in falling to 8-5 on the season.
     
    Bry Flanagan led the Lady Wildcats with 16 points. Genna Robinson added nine, and Holly Carlile supplied eight.
    Bethel will host Henryetta Tuesday.
     
    In other girls’ bracket games Saturday at the CD Warehouse Classic, Little Axe claimed seventh place by defeating Word of Life (Wichita, Kan.) by a 47-32 count, and Newcastle topped Seminole 44-29 for the consolation crown.
     
    The championship game between Perkins-Tryon and Heritage Hall has been rescheduled for Thursday because of Saturday’s weather conditions.
