  • SHS teams back home Tuesday

  • After opening the 2013 half of their season at El Reno, and then playing for three days in the East Central Oklahoma Classic in Ada over the past weekend, Shawnee High School’s basketball teams will be at home Tuesday against Bishop McGuinness.

  • After opening the 2013 half of their season at El Reno, and then playing for three days in the East Central Oklahoma Classic in Ada over the past weekend, Shawnee High School’s basketball teams will be at home Tuesday against Bishop McGuinness.
     
    The girls’ game will tip off at 6:30 p.m., and the boys’ game will follow.
     
    Class 5A’s top-ranked and defending champion Lady Wolves are 12-1 on the season and are 1-0 against the Lady Irish. Shawnee opened the 2012-13 season at McGuinness with a 49-26 win.
     
    Shawnee’s boys, after taking third at the East Central Oklahoma Classic with a 51-30 win over the host Ada Cougars, are 5-8 on the year. The Wolves are 0-1 against the Fighting Irish after dropping the season opener, 52-26.
     
    The Lady Wolves are on an eight-game winning streak.
     
    In other Tri-County area games Tuesday, Bethel will host Henryetta, McLoud will go to Prague, Earlsboro will visit Tupelo, Asher will travel to Vanoss, Meeker will host Stroud and Seminole will go to Perkins-Tryon.
