OBU at home, SGU on road for Thursday games

Oklahoma Baptist will be home today against John Brown University, while St. Gregory’s travels to Mid-America Christian for Sooner Athletic Conference encounters.

The women’s games will tip off at 6 p.m., and the men’s games will follow.

OBU’s Bison are ranked fifth nationally, and John Brown’s Golden Eagles are ranked 10th. The Bison, second in the SAC standings, are 15-3 overall and 3-1 against SAC foes.

The Golden Eagles are also 15-3, but are first in the conference standings with a 4-0 record.

The Lady Bison are sixth in the standings at 1-3, and they are 8-7 overall. JBU’s women (7-9, 2-2 SAC) are fifth.

Both St. Gregory’s teams are still in the hunt for their first conference win. The Cavaliers (6-7, 0-3 SAC) are in last place in the SAC standings, and the Lady Cavaliers (7-10, 0-3 SAC) are tied with the MACU women (9-5, 0-3 SAC) at one step above last-place USAO.

MACU’s men (7-5, 2-1 SAC) are third in the standings.
