Oklahoma Baptist’s Jura Levy and Cordell Baker have been named NAIA National Women’s and Men’s, respectively, Indoor Track Athletes of the Week based on their performances for the week of Jan. 7-13.
The announcements were made Wednesday.
Levy, from Trelawny, Jamaica, finished in the top three in two events at the Wichita State Herm Wilson Invitational on Jan. 10, claiming national championship qualifying standards in the 60-meter race and 4X400 relay.
Levy finished second in the in the 60 meters at 7.36 seconds, the best time in the NAIA this year.
Levy and Baker were both named Sooner Athletic Conference Players of the Week for Jan. 7-13.
Baker, from Sapulpa, hit the qualifying standard in the one-mile race at the Wichita State Herm Wilson Invitational. He was first with a time of 4:19.02.
