  • Fleming’s big night cements Asher win

  • Shelby Fleming recorded a double-double, Tristan Milburn added 13 points and Asher’s Lady Indians stifled Vanoss 41-30 Tuesday, while Asher’s boys got a game-tying bucket by Zach Fowler at the end of regulation and went on to knock off Vanoss 65-58 in overtime.

  • Shelby Fleming recorded a double-double, Tristan Milburn added 13 points and Asher’s Lady Indians stifled Vanoss 41-30 Tuesday.
     
    Fleming supplemented her 23 points with 10 rebounds, helping Asher jump out to an early 15-2 lead.
     
    Milburn scored nine of her 13 from 3-point range. Fellow Lady Indian Kasadi Reimers filled out the ballhandler’s side of the stat sheet, notching four assists and four steals.
     
    Asher, now 12-6 on the season, will head to Wanette Friday for a showdown with the Lady Tigers.
     
    In the nightcap, Asher’s boys got a game-tying bucket by Zach Fowler at the end of regulation and went on to knock off Vanoss 65-58 in overtime.
     
    Vanoss took a 48-46 lead on a basket with six seconds remaining, only to have Fowler hit a layup to end regulation in a tie at 48.
     
    Asher out-scored Vanoss 17-10 in OT as five Indians scored.
     
    Dalton Hockley spearheaded Asher offensively with 20 points. Fowler concluded with 14 and Caleb Dubler came in with 12.
     
    Tim Johnson added nine points as Asher improved to 14-4.
    Fowler and Hockley added nine rebounds apiece.
