The Shawnee grapplers found their way to third place overall in the Coweta Tournament Saturday.
Walker Smith (182) claimed first place with a 9-4 decision over Western Heights’ Harley Stanley in the final round.
Three other Wolves — Clayton Stafford (138), Corey Todd (145) and Gage Humphrey (195) each claimed second place in their respective classes.
“We had a tough day,” SHS coach Larry James said. “We will see how we bounce back. We have two choices: pout about or do something about it. This team still has team goals and individual goals that can be accomplished.”
