  • Macomb splits two with Strother

  • While the Macomb Lady Hornets improved to 10-5 with a 58-28 win at Strother Friday night, their counterparts did not find themselves as lucky, as the Hornets fell 80-42 to Class A No. 18 Strother in the late game.

  • While the Macomb Lady Hornets improved to 10-5 with a 58-28 win at Strother Friday night, their counterparts did not find themselves as lucky, as the Hornets fell 80-42 to Class A No. 18 Strother in the late game.
     
    Shania Pace and Felecia Cope led the charge for the Lady Hornets with 16 points apiece. Brittany Bluford joined her teammates in double figures, notching a baker’s dozen.
     
    Dallas Little and Aaron Slaughter combined for 40 points for Strother’s boys in their win.
     
    Thomas Cope led the way for the Tigers (3-9) with 12 points.
    Macomb will play in the Tri-County Tournament (formerly the Pott. County Tournament) next week, but first will host Christian Heritage Academy today.
