  • Asher’s Lady Indians were hit with a 51-26 loss to Davenport in the Monday’s first round of the Tri-County Tournament at OBU’s Noble Complex.

The Lady Indians trailed by just one point to start the second quarter, but fell into an unrecoverable rut as the Lady Bulldogs out-scored Asher 29-9 over the next two quarters.

Sabrina McDow spearheaded Davenport’s offense with 23 points, and teammate Kristin Thomas added a baker’s dozen.

Tristan Milburn was Asher’s leading scorer at 10. The Lady Indians were 4-for-9 from the free throw line, while the Lady Bulldogs hit just two of nine attempts.

Asher will contest Wetumka at 5 p.m. Wednesday on the consolation side of the bracket, while Davenport advances to a 7:30 p.m. semifinals matchup Thursday against Dale.
