The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for detention officers and dispatchers.
Interested individuals must be 19 years of age and a United States citizen. Annual salary begins at $31,000 for detention officers and $31,500 for dispatchers. Insurance and benefits provided.
CCSO seeks employees with a high-degree of ethical standards and moral character. Individuals must have sound judgment and the ability to think quickly.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Interested parties need a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Detention officers and dispatchers must pass a background investigation, polygraph exam and drug test. Both positions require employees work shifts in a 24/7 operation.
Applicants cannot have any felony or major misdemeanor convictions nor pending criminal charges. They also cannot have any domestic abuse convictions or a domestic violence record.
Anyone interested must complete an “application and personal history” statement.
