  • Micah Ripley hit her target with 3.9 ticks left on the clock Thursday, and Prague’s Lady Red Devils notched a 40-39 win over Lincoln County rival Meeker in the semifinals of the 66 Conference Tournament at Perkins-Tryon High School.

  • Micah Ripley hit her target with 3.9 ticks left on the clock Thursday, and Prague’s Lady Red Devils notched a 40-39 win over Lincoln County rival Meeker in the semifinals of the 66 Conference Tournament at Perkins-Tryon High School.
     
    Prague coach Jay Depanion said he was short-handed on the bench, but he “had some girls really step up.”
     
    Meeker carried a 10-point lead into the second quarter, and Class 3A’s No. 16 Lady Bulldogs were up 20-12 at the half. The ninth-ranked Lady Red Devils closed the gap to 28-23 by the end of the third quarter.
     
    Corbin Coker spearheaded Prague’s offense with 12 points, and teammate Whitney Stotler added 10. Meeker’s Cortney Edmonds rang up a game-high 24 points.
     
    Prague will play in the tournament finals at 6 p.m. Saturday.
