After suffering back-to-back losses to open the Tri-County Tournament, Earlsboro’s Wildcats reaped a 46-31 win over Macomb Thursday to finish in seventh place.

Ethan Bateman sparked Earlsboro’s offense with 24 points, including 13 in the Wildcats’ 17-4 run in the fourth quarter. Teammate Derick McCormick went 4-for-5 on free throws in finishing with nine points, and Connor Kelsay added seven.

Jose Chavez led Macomb with nine points. Troy Wilson added eight.

In Friday’s semifinals of the Tri-County Tournament, Dale’s boys will face Wellston at 7:30 p.m., and Wetumka and Allen will meet at 8:45 p.m. Dale is ranked fifth in Class 2A.

In the girls’ seventh-place game Thursday, Allen defeated Wetumka, 46-32.
