  • Tanna Baker scored eight points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 19 seconds left, vaulting Bethel into the Newcastle Invitational title game with a 43-41 win over Westmoore Friday night.

The Lady Wildcats (10-7) trailed by five heading into the fourth quarter but cut the lead to two in the final minute. Baker’s triple gave Bethel its first lead since halftime.

Bethel’s Bry Flanagan led all scorers with 17 points, while Baker accounted for 13 points. Ashley Gomez paced Westmoore with 12.

Bethel was 14-of-18 from the free-throw line for the night.
