Janet Davis places first in Boomer Bridge two wins in a row.
On Jan. 16 Janet Davis of Norman and Judy Ford placed first as Boomer Bridge played for the third week in its new location at First Christian Church, 1625 N. Broadway.
Sherman Layman of Okemah and Carmon Dent of Midwest City placed second with Peter Huggler of Sminole and Charles Clonce of Tecumseh coming in third. Fourth place winners were Janet Peery and Helen Sobel.
On Jan. 23 Don Davis and Janet Davis, both of Norman, placed first. Sharlene Hammons and LaVere Bishop, both of Seminole, placed second with Bob Patrum and Jack Dimski of Oklahoma City coming in third. Krish Kamath and Nilima placed fourth and Peter Huggler of Seminole and Kathy Riddle placed fifth.
Boomer Bridge, Shawnee’s sanctioned open duplicate bridge club, meets on Wednesdays at 12:30 p.m. Players from Shawnee and surrounding cities participate.
