Josiah Snyder scored all of his 15 points from deep range, pushing Prague to a 50-43 victory over Jones in a makeup game Friday.
Prague jumped out to an eight-point halftime lead that they ran to 14 before the start of the fourth quarter, giving the Devils enough breathing room to secure the win.
Snyder’s fellow Devils Grayson Hamm and Tyler Ouderkirk, as well as Longhorns leaders Brady Bates and Ethan McCoy, scored 11 points apiece.
Now 9-11 on the season, Prague will host Seminole Tuesday.
Prague’s Lady Red Devils nearly climbed out of an early hole but couldn’t hold off Jones late, succumbing 50-47 in a makeup game Friday night.
Prague (15-5) found itself down 28-12 at halftime but clawed back to claim a one-point advantage late in the fourth quarter, but bad passing killed momentum and the Lady Longhorns took advantage.
“We really dug ourselves into a hole in the first half,” Prague head coach Jay Depanion said. “We had a chance in the second half but we turned the ball over too much at the end.”
Whitney Stotler led Prague with 10 points. Corbin Coker added 10 and Ellie Schultz chipped in with nine.
Prague, ranked tenth in Class 3A, will host Seminole Tuesday.
