The body of a man found last July in Cleveland County has been identified as that of a missing Oklahoma City man.

A body found in July 2012 in rural Cleveland County has been identified as an Oklahoma City man who went missing two months prior.

The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified Pascual Salazar, 36, through DNA comparison by family members. The cause of death was listed as unknown but the investigation continues.

Information that Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office investigators have received strongly supports the continued investigation into Salazar’s death as a matter of homicide.

Salazar was last seen May 23, near SE 15th Street and High Avenue in Oklahoma City. Family members reported him missing three days later.

His body was found July 10, 2012, near Fulkerson Road in eastern Cleveland County.
