Paced by a 16-point outing by 5-foot, 9-inch sophomore Bry Flanagan, Bethel’s girls blitzed McLoud 41-24 Friday night.
McLoud trailed just 22-17 at the half but Bethel’s 15-4 eruption in the third quarter put the game on ice.
Mikayla Whitten added seven points for Bethel as it improved to 14-8.
For McLoud, Bethanie James recorded 10 points and Ashley Boyer finished with eight.
“McLoud played very physical defense and we were able to get them in a running game,” Bethel coach Jennifer Lynch said. “We were able to play deep on the bench to keep our legs in the second half.
Eight Bethel players scored while McLoud had only four players get on the board.
Bethel will play at OCS Tuesday in a regular-season finale. McLoud will conclude the regular campaign Tuesday by entertaining Chandler.
