    Austin Duncan scored 20 for Paoli while teammate Aaron Webster scored 18.
     
    Paoli outscored the Hornets 40-18 in the second half.
     
    Troy Wilson and Justin Moore tied for team-high scoring honors, with a dozen points apiece. Thomas Cope added 11 points.
     
    The loss ends Macomb’s season. Paoli advances to play Velma-Alma in the tournament title game today.
     
    Lady Hornets sting Paoli to stay alive
     
    VELMA — The Macomb Lady Hornets kept their season alive by throttling Paoli, 46-27, in the first round of a Class A district tournament Friday.
     
    The win guarantees Macomb a spot in today’s championship game against host Velma-Alma.
     
    Macomb pounded the Lady Pugs 38-15 through three quarters, led by Shania Pace’s game-high 19 points.
     
    Felecia Cope added 16 points for the Lady Hornets, while teammate Kailin Gregg chipped in 8.
