  • Earlsboro splits lopsided games

  • Earlsboro’s girls had an easy time with Coleman Saturday night, while the Earlsboro boys were on the other end of a lopsided game.

  • The Earlsboro Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 41-12 halftime lead en route to a 64-21 destruction of Coleman in a Class B district tournament final Saturday.
    Megan Ashley knocked down two treys on her way to a game-high 17 points. Fellow Lady Wildcats Brittany and Demi Coon chipped in 16 and 12 points, respectively.
    Demi Coon splashed in two 3-pointers.
    The win sends Earlsboro (23-3) to Coleman Thursday for the first round of a regional tournament. The Lady Wildcats will tip at 6:30 p.m., but their foe is yet to be decided.
    The Earlsboro boys were not as fortunate in their contest with Coleman, falling behind 25-2 after one quarter on their way to a 62-26 defeat.
    Lucas Hamilton scored 25 for Coleman, and teammate Hunter Evans added 16.
    Ethan Bateman was the highest-scoring Wildcat, with 11 points. Austin Sanders pitched in a half-dozen.
