Zbeyda Aremi picked up a game-high 20 points, Oklahoma Baptist hit 46.7 percent of its field goals and the Lady Bison avenged an earlier Sooner Athletic Conference loss by defeating MacArthur Street rival St. Gregory’s 74-63 Tuesday at OBU’s Noble Complex.
SGU topped OBU 68-51 in January.
Aremi was 9-for-15 from the field as the Lady Bison were 28-for-60 as a team. Charity Fowler, who notched two 3-pointers for OBU, came away with 18 points.
Janell Beacham netted 13, and Jalissa Council finished with 10.
The Lady Bison won the rebound battle, 39-33, with Diamond Austin leading at nine.
St. Gregory’s had three players finish with 16 points — Leticia Silva, Ayrionna Taylor and Kalie Lucas — and Silva ended the night with a double-double thanks to a game-high 10 boards.
St. Gregory’s shot 38.3 percent (18-for-47) from the field, including 3-for-22 (13.6 percent) from 3-point range. The Lady Cavaliers got 24 of 35 free throw attempts, led by Silva’s 10-for-17 effort.
OBU was 4-for-15 on treys, with Fowler’s two and Bretlin Gabelmann’s two. The Lady Bison hit 14 of their 24 charity tosses for 58.3 percent.
The lead never changed hands as Fowler put OBU on top 3-0 just 29 seconds into the game. The Lady Bison led 42-31 at the half.
OBU’s largest lead, 18 points, came with 8:02 left to play.
St. Gregory’s turned the ball over 17 times to just nine for the Lady Bison.
The Lady Bison (13-11, 6-7 SAC) will tip off against host Mid-America Christian at 6 p.m. Thursday. The Lady Cavs (10-16, 3-9 SAC) will host the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The Oklahoma Baptist men made it a season sweep of St. Gregory’s with a 75-55 win in the nightcap. The Bison defeated the Cavaliers 71-61 in January, and the Cavs are now on a 14-game slide and are still winless in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
OBU got a game-high 16 points from Chase Adams, and a baker’s dozen from Marques Anderson. Kendall Parks was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and 3-for-3 from the foul line in netting 12 points for the victors, and Clinton Houston added 11 to the total.
The Bison hit 47.8 percent (22-for-46) of their field goals, including seven of 17 offerings from long range. Adams was 5-for-9 on 3-pointers.

OBU was 24-for-30 (80 percent) on charities, with David Johnson leading at 4-for-4.
St. Gregory’s was led by Fayzon Richey’s 12. Richey was 5-for-12 from the field — including 1-for-2 from deep — and he was 1-for-1 on free throws.
The Cavs were 21-for-48 (43.8 percent) from the floor, and 11-for-19 (57.9 percent) on foul shots.
Paco Jones added 10 points for the Cavaliers.
Both teams hauled in 29 rebounds, with Anderson leading OBU at seven. Josiah Campbell pulled down a team-high six for SGU.
The lead remained with Oklahoma Baptist throughout, except for a 2-all tie at the 18:52 mark of the first half. The Bison led 33-21 at halftime, and held their largest lead (21 points) with 6:53 to play in the second half.
OBU turned the ball over 13 times to 12 for St. Gregory’s.
Now 21-6 overall and 9-4 in the SAC, the Bison will go to Mid-America Christian for an 8 p.m. tip Thursday. The Cavaliers (6-16, 0-12 SAC) will host USAO at 8 p.m Thursday.
