  • Shawnee’s boys faltered in the second half while dropping a 54-48 decision to Chickasha.
     
    The Wolves (9-14) held a 26-21 half-time advantage but were out-scored 11-9 in the third quarter. Chickasha completed the comeback with a 22-13 splurge over the final eight minutes.
     
    Trey Maston and Luke Laster were Shawnee’s scoring leaders with 15 points apiece. Laster had two 3-point field goals.
     
    Theo Berry chipped in with nine points.
     
    For Chickasha, E.J. Golightly compiled 22 points, including 11 in the final quarter on four field goals and three free throws.
     
    Shawnee was just 7-of-14 from the free-throw line. Chickasha was 20-of-27, including 8-of-11 in the final quarter.
     
    Shawnee’s next action will be against Del City next Friday night in regional tournament play at Carl Albert High School.
