  • Down 39-37 entering the fourth period, Bethel’s girls out-scored Bethany 18-12 down the stretch for a 55-51 victory Saturday night in a Class 4A district tournament encounter.
     
    Bry Flanagan of Bethel collected a game-high 21 points, including 7-of-9 free throws, and also pulled down seven rebounds.
     
    Lady Wildcat Genna Robinson, who tallied 13 points, was 5-of-5 from the charity stripe in the fourth quarter. Mikayla Whitten had all six of her points in the last eight minutes.
     
    Meghan Tade of Bethel finished with 10 points.
     
    Bethel hit 17 of 23 free throws while Bethany was 12-of-16.
     
    The victors were 18-of-40 from the field, including just 2-of-11 from 3-point range.
     
    Bethany (17-5) was 17-of-51 from the floor, including 3-of-11 from 3-point range.
     
    Bethel (15-8) advances to a 6:30 p.m. regional tournament conflict against Heritage Hall Thursday at Heritage Hall.
