NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning and a winter weather advisory for parts of Oklahoma as a storm system is expected to make its way through the state.
A winter storm warning is in effect Wednesday and into Thursday for much of northwestern Oklahoma. A watch is in effect for the Panhandle and an advisory has been posted for much of northern Oklahoma.
Parts of the state could see up to 5 inches of snow, and sleet could fall, too. Travel could be dangerous. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says drivers should be especially careful during Wednesday's morning commute.
