  • Chandler used a fourth-quarter rally to force overtime but couldn’t keep the momentum and dropped a 45-42 decision to Lincoln Christian Thursday night in a Class 3A regional tournament losers bracket contest.
     
    Mason Myers of Chandler sank a close-range bucket with six seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 40. Chandler out-scored Lincoln Christian 14-9 in the fourth quarter.
     
    Lincoln Christian took the OT session, 5-2, with Michael Wilson getting the only Chandler bucket on a drive across the lane.
     
    Chandler was just 5-of-11 at the charity stripe while Lincoln Christian was 12-of-18.
     
    Senior Cody Campbell led Chandler with 15 points. Rodney Lewis had 13 points, including a 3-point field goal in the fourth quarter.
     
    “We really improved from the beginning of the year,” Chandler coach Eddie Battershell said. “Lincoln Christian beat some good teams this year and we took them to overtime.”
     
    Chandler concludes the year at 9-15.
