Sisters at Heart, a women's ministry of Wesley United Methodist Church, has slated a program for Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m.
Sisters at Heart is a ministry whose goal is to help women draw closer to God by hearing a message of encouragement and testimony from other women.
The program will be brought by Mary Brazier, and is titled "Growing a Flower Garden in Rocky Places." Her personal journey of finding God's grace after a life of difficult situations of abuse and neglect led her to a life of helping children in similar traumatic homes overcome their situations, and become not only survivors, but warriors.
Brazier has a broad background of a 26-year career in working with youth services in areas of Child Abuse prevention. She has been active in Camp Fire, Scouts, Coalitions for Drug, Alcohol, Teen and Dating Violence and has background in Legislative lobbying for Family Services.
All women are invited to hear her testimony of God's mercy and grace.
Wesley is located at 302 E. Independence. The evening begins at 6:30 with a snack supper, followed by the program. A nursery is provided.
