  • Chieftains suffer season-ending loss

  • Broken Bow used a 13-6 run in the second quarter to pull away from Seminole in a Class 4A regional losers’ bracket game Saturday, and the eventual 57-52 final brought the Chieftains’ season to an end at 14-12.

  • Broken Bow used a 13-6 run in the second quarter to pull away from Seminole in a Class 4A regional losers’ bracket game Saturday, and the eventual 57-52 final brought the Chieftains’ season to an end at 14-12.
     
    “It was a good season,” said Seminole coach Jeremy Bryan. “It was a good group of seniors. We will return three starters next year and get after it.”
     
    Seminole led Broken Bow 14-13 after the first quarter, but fell behind 26-20 at halftime. Broken Bow led 41-37 after three quarters.
     
    Xavier Freeman led the Chieftains with 15 points, while teammates Jayce Cravens and Papi White chipped in with 13 and 10, respectively.
