  • Eight Seminole Chieftains made the scoring column Friday night in a 58-39 triumph over Sallisaw in a Class 4A regional tournament losers’ bracket matchup.
     
    Seminole, which never trailed, received 17 points from Papi White and 12 points from Xavier Freeman. The brother combination of Jayce and Damon Cravens finished with nine and six points respectively. Jayce Cravens had two 3-point field goals.
     
    Seminole, 14-11, led 16-7 after one quarter and 29-11 at the intermission.
     
    For the game, the Chieftains were 9-of-15 from the line and Sallisaw was 7-of-12.
     
    Seminole and Broken Bow will collide at 3 p.m. today with the winner advancing to next week’s area tournament and the loser ending its season.
     
    Seminole’s girls weren’t so fortunate Friday, dropping a 55-36 decision to seventh-ranked Roland in another losers’ bracket game.
     
    Senior Baylee Lucas led Seminole with 12 points.
     
    Roland was never pressed after jumping out to a 17-8 advantage after one quarter.
     
    Seminole concludes the year at 5-17.
