Keep it Well-Maintained
One of the basics steps to a healthy home is home maintenance and repair. With spring right around the corner, now is a good time to do some basic maintenance and repair before the weather gets too hot. Maintenance includes activities like cleaning, painting, mowing, etc. etc. Repair includes replacing, fixing, removing, etc. BOTH are important. Maintenance can help make repair easier! Over the last seven weeks many of the tips are basic maintenance steps for home owners to help them avoid costly repairs or health issues.
Here are just a few things you need to keep your home well maintained.Keep owner’s manuals! These provide information you need to keep items working properly, make simple repairs and purchase the correct replacement parts. Have a basic tool box and keep it in a location which is easy to access. If you don’t have to put forth a lot of effort finding what you need, you are more likely to address a minor repair quickly. Be realistic about when to call in an expert! Don’t cost yourself more money by making things worse or spending money on items that won’t fix the problem.
