  • Lady Wolves shut out Capitol Hill

  • Chelsea Evans and Jordan Leach collected two goals apiece Tuesday night as Shawnee’s girls improved to 4-1 with a 5-0 whipping of Capitol Hill.

  • Chelsea Evans and Jordan Leach collected two goals apiece Tuesday night as Shawnee’s girls improved to 4-1 with a 5-0 whipping of Capitol Hill.
     
    Evans had both of her goals in the first half as SHS jumped out to a 4-0 advantage. Tallying a goal apiece in the first half were Leach and Shannon Spillers.
     
    Leach added a second-half goal and also earned two assists in the game. Spillers also had an assist.
     
    In action Saturday, Shawnee went 1-1 at the Rose Rock Tournament at Noble.
     
    Durant trimmed Shawnee 1-0 but the Lady Wolves rebounded for a 3-1 triumph over Ada in the third-place match.
     
    Evans, a junior, had all three goals for Shawnee.
     
    Shawnee will be off until March 26 when it entertains Harding Prep.
