  • Asher’s softballers garnered 25 hits in just seven innings Tuesday in swamping Allen in both ends of a doubleheader, 15-2 and 19-0.

  • Asher’s softballers garnered 25 hits in just seven innings Tuesday in swamping Allen in both ends of a doubleheader, 15-2 and 19-0. The first game went four innings and the Lady Indians needed just three innings to take the nightcap.
     
    Asher posted 10 hits in the first game as Shayla Dekuyper led the way at 3-of-3, all singles.
     
    Alisha Huggins added a double, a home run and five runs batted in while teammates Shelby Fleming and Desaray Goodgion notched two singles apiece.
     
    The Lady Indians added 15 hits in the nightcap as Huggins was the ringleader with six RBI on two doubles and a single. Sarah Wauahdooah added a two-run triple and a single while Fleming recorded an inside-the-park home run. Kasadi Reimers collected a double and a single while Tristan Milburn had a two-run double. Haley Odell added two singles.
     
    Asher, 4-1, will take on Wanette at 9 a.m. Thursday in first-round play of the Vanoss Tournament. The tourney continues through Friday.
