Dale pounded out 26 hits Monday in opening its slow-pitch season with a 21-9 win over Davenport’s Lady Bulldogs.

Kortlyn Wilkey collected six hits, including three doubles, and Makensi Stith notched two home runs in five hits. One was a solo shot, and the other was good for three runs.

Both of Jaelin Flewallen’s hits were two-run homers, and Kassidy Sparks finished with four singles.

The game was tied at 3 after one inning, and Dale led 9-3 after three. The Lady Pirates brought 10 runs across in the top of the fourth.

Davenport finished with 16 hits.

Dale (1-0) will host Moore at 4 p.m. today. A five-inning junior varsity game will follow.
