Tecumseh’s Lady Savages recorded more than a dozen home runs Thursday in going 2-1 at the Preston Festival.
The Lady Savages fell 19-15 to first-round opponent Liberty, then dished out two five-inning run-rule wins — 12-3 over Preston and 14-5 over Kellyville.
Shyanna Sigman notched two home runs and a double and drove in seven runs against Liberty, and she was 2-for-4 with a pair of HRs against Preston. She finished the day with two singles and a double opposite Kellyville.
Caylie Patton picked up eight total hits, including four homers, and Hilary Babbit got a home run and three singles and four RBI.
Kelsie Carsten clubbed eight singles on the day and Macy Muirhead hit five, and Jordan Detherage hit a double and a home run against Kellyville. Jessica Cummings totaled three singles and two homers against Preston and Kellyville.
Logan Hays recorded two singles and a roundtripper versus Liberty, and Triston Trice got a homer and a single versus Kellyville. Aspen Grimes was 3-for-3 against Kellyville with a double and two singles.
“I’m very pleased with the way the girls are swinging it right now. We had a great day,” said THS coach Perry Wilson.
The Lady Savages will face Pioneer at 11 a.m. today and Weleetka at 1:40 p.m. as the Preston Festival continues. They will go to Okemah Saturday to take on Morris at 12:20 p.m., Red Oak at 2:40 p.m. and Leedey at 3:50 p.m.
