Tecumseh’s Lady Savages, ranked eighth in Class 6A, went 2-1 on the day Saturday at the Okemah Festival.

The Lady Savages opened by scoring three runs in the fifth inning to defeat 5A’s No. 7 Morris, 5-4. This was followed by a 10-2 loss to Class A’s top-ranked Red Oak, and Tecumseh wrapped up its stay by blistering Class A’s second-ranked Leedey, 8-0.

Shyanna Sigman was a perfect 7-for-7 on the day with four runs scored and four more batted in. Hilary Babbit hit three singles against Morris, a double against Red Oak and a single against Leedey. She ended the day with two RBIs.

Jordan Detherage finished with three hits, two runs and two RBIs; Aspen Grimes hit two singles and drove in a run; and Caylie Patton went 4-for-6 and scored twice.

Against Leedey, Triston Trice, Kelsie Carsten and Logan Hays each went 2-fo-2 — Carsten with two runs scored and Trice with an RBI.

The game versus Leedey was stopped after three innings.

Tecumseh (11-2) is idle until Thursday, when the Lady Savages will face Muskogee in the opening round of the Bethel Tournament.
