  • Glee Club slates two-day tour, not three.

  • Oklahoma Baptist University’s Bison Glee Club, an all-male choral group, will perform in western Oklahoma April 7-8. The public is invited to attend the free concerts at the churches.
     
    On Sunday, April 7, the Bison Glee Club will begin their tour in Woodward. They will sing during the 10:45 a.m. worship service at First Baptist Church of Woodward, located at 202 East Hanks Trail, Woodward.
     
    Also on April 7, the group will sing during the 6 p.m. worship service at First Baptist Church of Elk City. The church is located at 1600 W. Country Club, Elk City.
     
    On Monday, April 8, the Bison Glee Club will perform a morning concert at Elk City High School.
     
    The Bison Glee Club is an auditioned group of the finest male musicians on the OBU campus. The group long has been considered one of the premiere men’s choruses in the Southwest and has toured extensively throughout the United Stated as well as in Canada, Europe and the Far East.
     
    They have been featured as an honor choir for the Oklahoma Music Educators Convention and the Southern Baptist Church Music Conference.
     
    The Bison Glee Club is under the direction of Dr. Brent Ballweg, director of choral activities. Ballweg is the Burton H. Patterson Professor of Music in the Warren M. Angell College of Fine Arts. Additionally, he teaches courses in conducting, choral procedures and choral literature.
