Alan Brewer’s first home run of the season was a loud one as he cleared the bases in Tecumseh’s 9-4 semifinals win over Little Axe Friday in the Little Axe Tournament.

Brewer, who also threw an inning of relief for winning pitcher Gage Trahan, was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate.

Tecumseh opened the scoring with two first-inning runs, but trailed the hosts 4-2 after two frames. The Savages went out in front by a 5-4 count in the fifth before closing out the scoring in the sixth on Brewer’s blast.

The Savages totaled nine hits, while Trahan held the Indians to four. In improving to 2-0, he fanned 11 batters and walked four.

Now 7-2 on the season, Tecumseh faces the Cushing-Newcastle winner at 6:30 p.m. in the Little Axe Tournament finals.
